Laurence Jones is a Principal at Aegis Management, LLC, specializing in advising companies as a CEO, director or adviser in turnarounds, high-growth and strategic alternatives,  governance, culture development and leadership transition issues.


He has 25 years of experience building, operating and growing public and private companies in the business process outsourcing, marketing services, enterprise software, smart-grid, information and IT services industries. Jones is a former CEO of seven technology services companies including Coalfire, StarTek, Activant, MessageMedia, Interelate, Neodata and GovPx.


Previously, Jones was the Chief Executive Officer of Coalfire Systems, Inc. that provides Cyber Security audit and advisory services based in Westminster, CO. where he mains as an advisor and a board member. Coalfire is a private high-growth company backed by Carlyle and the Chertoff Group.

 

Currently Larry is a Director of Coalfire, Xyleme (a private content management company), the Local Theater Group in Boulder and Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado Boulder. Formerly, he was a Director and/or Chairman of 11 private equity, public and VC-backed companies (Diligent Board Books, Essential Power, Comverge, Work Options Group, StarTek, WebClients, Exabyte, Activant Solutions, Real Solutions, Neodata, SARCOM, WebClients, and DIMAC). For many years, he has sat on Audit and Compensation Committees for various firms and is a member and NACD Fellow with the Nataional Association of Corporate Directors.


Jones graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 1975, and earned his MBA from Boston University in 1980. He currently resides in Boulder, Colorado.
